The France international striker did not start the match, but the 30-year-old came on as a substitute in the 73rd minute.
The 30-year-old played a key role in the final result, as he scored in the 89th minute of the encounter to help the Gunners draw 1-1 with United.
Former Liverpool and Arsenal winger Pennant was following the match, and he has taken to Twitter to give his reaction to Giroud’s performance.
The 33-year-old has praised the former Montpellier star and has highlighted his quality.

Giroud is not a world-class striker and does miss chances, but the Frenchman is a good player whose importance to the current Arsenal team cannot be undermined.
