Tottenham Hotspur are seeing Hugo Lloris struggle right now.

Pundit Jermaine Jenas has told the Daily Mail that it’s time for Tottenham Hotspur to promote Paulo Gazzaniga to being second-choice goalkeeper – and also look to make a new signing there.
Spurs take on Manchester City on Monday night, and one of the players under intense scrutiny will be goalkeeper Hugo Lloris after another tough time.
Lloris was sent off against PSV Eindhoven in midweek for a rash challenge coming off his line, and Tottenham ended up only drawing 2-2 having been leading 2-1 at the time.
This is far from the first time Lloris has put Spurs in trouble. A similar rush of blood to the head saw him come racing off his line against Barcelona at Wembley, allowing Philippe Coutinho to score, and he has also committed real mistakes with France too.
Whilst Mauricio Pochettino hailed Lloris as a world-class goalkeeper after a fine showing against West Ham United last week, another high-profile error means he is being criticised and called into question once again.
Lloris will almost certainly start against Manchester City, but that’s in part because backup Michel Vorm hasn’t impressed either – and Jermaine Jenas thinks the Dutchman shouldn’t be No. 2 any longer.
Jenas has told the Daily Mail that he thinks Paulo Gazzaniga – a £2.5million signing in 2017 (ESPN) who did show promise in limited playing time earlier this season – should now be the second choice ahead of Vorm, urging Pochettino to promote the Argentinian.

Jenas also slammed Lloris for his form, and added that Spurs must now look to bring in another goalkeeper, with Lloris simply not living up to his billing as a top goalkeeper right now.
“This started before the World Cup and in crucial games. Both fixtures against Manchester City and Chelsea last season saw Lloris errors which had an impact on the result,” said Jenas. “It happened in France’s World Cup qualifiers against Sweden. He’s No 1 for France, a World Cup winner and Tottenham captain, so there is an assumption he is one of the best goalkeepers in the world. I don’t think his form in the past year backs that up.”
“Spurs’ problem is that the drop off when Michel Vorm plays is too great. Paulo Gazzaniga, who played in the wins at Brighton and Huddersfield, should be No 2. But there is no one to displace Lloris and Spurs need to look at that now,” he added.
