Jermaine Jenas heaps praise on Harry Kane following Tottenham’s 4-0 victory over Bournemouth

Former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder, Jermaine Jenas, has ushered heaps praise on Harry Kane following yet another brilliant performance from the England striker in Spurs’ 4-0 win over Bournemouth.

Kane started for the first time this month, and scored the third goal for his team to take his goal tally to 20 in the Premier League. He joins the rarefied elite group of Alan Shearer, Ruud van Nistelrooy and Thierry Henry – players who have scored 20 Premier League goals in three consecutive seasons.

When Kane first scored 20 league goals in his first full season for Spurs, many (especially the opposition fans) labelled him as a one-season wonder. However, he has now proved that he is not just a great goalscorer, but slowly reaching the world-class level with his overall contribution to the team.

This is what Jenas tweeted:

Jenas has drawn a comparison with Everton’s Romelu Lukaku here (short form RL indicates that way). The Belgian has been in tremendous form this season for the Toffees as well, and has scored 24 league goals this season.

However, Jenas believes that Kane brings a lot more to the game than just scoring goals. With an impressive first touch, Kane is very good at hold up play and creating chances for fellow teammates as well.
