Tottenham Hotspur just about managed to edge past PSV Eindhoven in the Champions League last night.

Jermiane Jenas of Tottenham talks to the media during a press conference to preview the UEFA Champions League group A match against Werder Bremen on November 23, 2010 in London, England.

Jermaine Jenas has told BT Sport that he feels that Tottenham Hotspur’s profligacy in front of goal is becoming a problem.

Tottenham came from behind to beat PSV Eindhoven in dramatic circumstances last night, but they made hard work of it.

Tottenham fell behind in the first minute, and then largely dominated the match from that point.

However, Spurs were guilty of missing a series of presentable chances, and it was up to Harry Kane to play hero again.

Kane scored twice in the final stages to secure a vital three points for Spurs, but Jenas feels Tottenham need to become more clinical.

“The only part he might be frustrated about is that it’s great creating all these chances, but this [missing them] has been happening for at least four games now,” Jenas said.

“They keep creating these opportunities, and they should be at least two goals clear in games and it’s always been so tight.”

Tottenham have edged past West Ham United, Cardiff City and Wolverhampton Wanderers in three of their past four Premier League matches.

Spurs also spurned a number of opportunities against Manchester City, in their only defeat in recent times.

Tottenham’s win over PSV kept their chances of progressing in the Champions League alive, but they are likely to have to beat Inter Milan and Barcelona to qualify.
