Mauricio Pochettino has shown a great faith in Tottenham Hotspur’s youngsters since taking charge at White Hart Lane.
Jermaine Jenas has revealed on the Premier League Show, which was broadcast on BBC Two on 12th October, that Tottenham Hotspur’s coaches have praised Mauricio Pochettino for getting involved with the youth-teams.
Jenas returned to Tottenham’s training ground this week to interview Pochettino, and he was informed by some of the coaches that he has a relationship of the Argentine boss’s technique.
The Spurs backroom team all credited Pochettino for showing such an interest in Tottenham’s players, including those who were not even part of his first team squad.
“I spoke to a couple of the coaches that were here when I was, and they say that you have a strong involvement with the young players,” Jenas said. “We’re talking 17, 18 year olds.”
Pochettino has always been renowned as a manager who will give youth a chance, and a number of Spurs’ youngsters have flourished under his stewardship.
The likes of Harry Kane, Eric Dier and Dele Alli have all been handed key roles for Spurs by Pochettino, despite them still being very young.
Spurs also have a crop of youngsters who are on the verge of breaking through into their first-team squad.
The likes of Cameron Carter-Vickers, Harry Winks and Marcus Edwards have all been handed chances in the senior squad this season, and appear to have very bright futures at White Hart Lane.
