Tottenham Hotspur have reached the Champions League final for the first time in their history.

Jermaine Jenas has shared that Harry Kane was ‘very confident’ in Tottenham prior to their stunning comeback against Ajax in the Champions League semi-finals on Wednesday night.
The BBC Sport pundit also stated that Kane is adamant to ‘give it a right go’ to be fit for his team as a Champions League final against Liverpool looms for them next month.
Kane is on the sidelines for the second time this season and he missed a thrilling game as Spurs scored three second-half goals to book their place in the Champions League finals.
Speaking on Football Focus on BBC One, Jenas shared what he spoke to Kane about prior to that semi-final clash and where the England man currently is with his fitness.
“We had a really good chat,” Jenas told Football Focus. “Obviously I said to him, ‘look you’re going to be fit because we are going to need you’. He gave the answer I expect, he was adamant that he was going to give a right go to be fit.
“But he was also very confident in the team in regards to what they could do on the day. I was trying to get a sense of the atmosphere in the dressing room – I think he went in at half-time and had a chat with the boys and gave them the lift they needed.”

If Kane can be fit, even for the bench, for that game against Liverpool then it will seriously increase their chances of lifting the European Cup.
Kane’s presence alone will improve the performance of his team and give them that extra edge going into the match. Not only that, if one chance does fall to a player late on then the Tottenham faithful will want Kane to be on the end of it.
But before then, Mauricio Pochettino will be looking to finish off the Premier League campaign with three points as they face Everton on home soil on Sunday afternoon.
