Hugo Lloris has endured a poor season for Tottenham Hotspur so far.

Jermaine Jenas has told BBC Radio Five Live that Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Hugo Lloris can no longer be considered in the world-class bracket.
The World Cup-winning France international had a night to forget in Eindhoven on Wednesday after being sent off in Tottenham’s 2-2 draw with PSV.
Spurs, who were 2-1 ahead at the time of his dismissal on 79 minutes, were pegged back by a Luuk de Jong goal in the closing minutes and remain third in their Champions League group, five points adrift of second-placed Inter Milan with three games to play.
Lloris has also made high-profile errors against Barcelona this season, and of course against Croatia in the World Cup final back in July.
And former Tottenham midfielder Jenas has told BBC Radio Five Live that the accumulating gaffes mean that he cannot be considered an elite goalkeeper any longer.
Asked whether he is still among the world’s best, Jenas said: “No is the simple answer. I think Hugo’s had a tough couple of years personally. If someone on the street asks you for the top four keepers in the league then you naturally just chuck Hugo’s name in there, just on the basis of his name.
“When you actually sit back and think about it, in your mind you’re thinking, ‘Well he’s dropped a clanger there, he’s dropped a clanger there’. The list is growing and these are mistakes that are costing games, goals.”
Nail on the head
Even some Lilywhites fans might agree that Jenas has nailed his assessment of the 31-year-old.
For the most part, Lloris has been a very fine goalkeeper, but there is a major difference between a big name and a big player and it’s growing increasingly difficult to claim that he’s a big player for Spurs.
