Tottenham Hotspur will have to finish in the Premier League’s top four and potentially win the Champions League without star man Harry Kane.

BBC Sport pundit Jermaine Jenas has been left unimpressed with the claim that Tottenham Hotspur are a better team without their key man Harry Kane.
The England international, who was injured at the start of the year, is once again on the sidelines with an injury as Spurs have progressed to the semi-finals of the Champions League without him being on the pitch.
During his first spell on the sidelines, the likes of Heung-Min Son and Fernando Llorente stepped up and produced the goods for the club, who won all their Premier League games without Kane.
Speaking to Football Focus on BBC One (20/04/2019 at 12:10 pm), Jenas rubbished the claims that Mauricio Pochettino’s side are better without Kane in the starting XI.
“There is this ridiculous talk that they are better without Harry Kane or Son performs better without Harry Kane,” Jenas told Football Focus.
Jenas is asked why is that rubbish? “Because he’s a world-class striker Harry Kane. Season after season he’s scoring 20+ goals. So, therefore your team is a better team with Harry Kane in it. Son whether he likes the responsibility more when Kane’s not there, whether he gets more supply, that’s maybe a different conversation to have. But he definitely steps up.”

In midweek, Spurs recorded a two-legged victory over Manchester City to progress through to the last four of the Champions League where they will meet Ajax.
They followed that game up by losing at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday afternoon in their Premier League encounter as they will be hoping to secure their top-four status in these coming weeks.
But all eyes will be on Europe and trying to reach the final of the Champions League. It remains to be seen if Kane returns to the pitch for any of Tottenham’s final few clashes, but if he does then there is no doubt it would be a huge bonus to the team.
