The Tottenham Hotspur star was his usual brilliant self last night.

Christian Eriksen saved Tottenham’s blushes against Brighton and Hove Albion last night scoring an 88th minute winner, and Jermaine Jenas took to Twitter, praising the Dane for his quality.

The 27-year-old joined Spurs from Ajax nearly six years ago, and he has since gone on to rack up an impressive 64 goals and 86 assists in 270 appearances in all competitions thus far.

Eriksen is widely regarded to be one of Tottenham’s most important players, and it will be a real worry for everyone connected with the club that he has just over 12 months remaining on his current contract.

For now, though, he seems to be more than happy at Spurs, and his fine performances of late are evidence of his commitment to the football club.

And Jenas is certainly a big fan of the Denmark international.

The former Tottenham ace took to Twitter, and labelled Eriksen as ‘special’:

Tottenham face West Ham next, and Eriksen will once again be hoping to fire his side to another vitally important three points.
