Former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Jermaine Jenas has told BT Sport’s live Periscope that Spurs will not change their approach when they face Juventus on Wednesday night.

Mauricio Pochettino’s men will be looking to build on their 2-2 draw against Italian champions Juventus as they play host to Massimiliano Allegri’s side at Wembley, with Harry Kane and Christian Eriksen’s away goals giving Spurs the advantage.

Spurs are renowned for their quick passing and attacking prowess and showed that in the away leg, but now they have a slender lead, Pochettino would be forgiven for playing negatively and looking to preserve the lead.

However, Jenas does not believe Pochettino will put his side on the back foot, and expects Spurs to attack with freedom as they normally do despite Juve boasting attacking talent such as Gonzalo Higuain, Paulo Dybala and Douglas Costa.

“It’s a big opportunity,” Jenas said. “They’re coming up against a side that still offers doubt. Allegri will have been surprised by Spurs in Turin. But Spurs only play one way.

“They will play exactly the way they played in Turin, and how they have done all season. They won’t be able to change a thing here or there. The Stadium will be rocking, and they will play like they do normally.”

Spurs have a whole squad to choose from against Juve, except defender Toby Alderweireld who has suffered a setback in his recovery from a long-term hamstring problem he picked up against Real Madrid.

A goalless draw, or even a low scoring draw will be enough for Spurs to progress, but alarm bells will begin to ring if Juven go in front or indeed score two goals.
