West Ham United sold Cheikhou Kouyate to Crystal Palace and signed Carlos Sanchez in the summer transfer window.

The former Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United midfielder has also suggested that West Ham should not sold Cheikhou Kouyate this summer.
The Hammers signed 32-year-old former Aston Villa defensive midfielder Sanchez from Italian club Fiorentina, and they sold 28-year-old Kouyate – who can operate as a midfielder or as a defender – to London and Premier League rivals Crystal Palace.
Jenas said on The Friday Football Social on BBC Radio 5 Live on Friday evening (7:54pm, September 14, 2018): “I am not convinced at all by Sanchez. I wasn’t convinced by him at Villa, I wasn’t convinced by him in the summer at the World Cup, and I am still not convinced by him personally.
“I don’t get why letting Kouyate go and bringing in Sanchez is an upgrade of any type personally.”

Bad move?
Sanchez has played in England before, having been on the books of Aston Villa from 2014 until 2016.
However, the Colombia international defensive midfielder did not convince everyone during his spell at the Villans.
West Ham should have retained the services of Kouyate, who is versatile and energetic and has proved himself in the Premier League.
Manuel Pellegrini’s side have lost all four of the Premier League matches so far this season and could end up fighting for survival as the season progresses.
