Chelsea loanee Kurt Zouma has proven his worth at Everton in recent weeks.

Jermaine Jenas had lauded the ‘standout’ performance of Everton defender Kurt Zouma after he helped his team beat Burnley 2-0 on Friday night.
The BBC Sport pundit pointed towards his ‘nightmare’ campaign with relegated Stoke City last season and how the Chelsea loanee is turning things around at Goodison Park this term.
In recent weeks, he has been a regular at the back for Marco Silva and his presence at the heart of the club’s defence has paid off because they have kept numerous clean sheets.
Speaking to Match of the Day on BBC One (04/05/2019 at 10:45 pm), Jenas applauded Zouma for helping to change the fortunes around for Everton.
“I think defensively there have been a couple of standout performers,” Jenas told Match of the Day. “I think Kurt Zouma, he’s really fell into place with regards to Everton now finding some form and he’s fallen right in line with that.
“He started the last six games. Of those games, they’ve kept five clean sheets, so they’ve found some continuity in how they want to play, at the minute.
“He’s on-loan, which is the key thing. It was a nightmare season for him last year at Stoke. So, I would have thought given what I’ve seen from him this year, they’ll be looking to keep him. But with Chelsea’s transfer embargo, it could be a bit of a complicated one.”

There are two key players on-loan at Everton this season, one of them being centre-back Zouma and other being midfielder Andre Gomes.
Both have played a big part in Marco Silva’s side producing a number of good performances in recent weeks and their supporters will no doubt want them to stay on beyond this campaign.
Despite beating Burnley on Friday, Everton will miss out on finishing seventh because Wolves recorded a 1-0 win over Fulham on Saturday afternoon to secure that spot for the season.
