West Bromwich Albion’s Nacer Chadli celebrates scoring their fourth goal
West Brom fans were certainly left impressed with their new signing Nacer Chadli yesterday – as he enjoyed a fantastic home debut for the Baggies.
The Belgian international scored twice and set up the other two in a 4-2 win over West Ham.
His performance had West Brom fans buzzing, and Tottenham fans scratching their heads wondering why they decided to sell them.
One former Spurs player was certainly impressed.
Jermaine Jenas was talking on Match of the Day last night about the signing of Chadli – and he is clearly of the belief that West Brom have bagged themselves a player:
“They have done (made a good signing). A lot was said about Tony Pulis’ signings or lack of them in the summer but in Nacer Chadli they’ve got a top player.
“He’s a player of genuine quality. He’s a goal threat.

“He had a hand in all four of the goals that West Bromwich Albion scored today.
“He thoroughly deserved that today. It was a top performance from their new signing.”
Chadli always looked capable of great things at Tottenham but never truly got a long run in the first-team under current White Hart Lane boss Mauricio Pochettino.
But West Brom will give him the first-team football he craves. This performance certainly showed just what he is capable of doing if he gets a chance.
Now he has the stage to showcase his talents on a more regular basis there is little doubt he will be hoping to have many more successful afternoons like this one.
