Tottenham earned an excellent draw against Juventus this week, but could they lose their best players in the summer?

Former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Jermaine Jenas has claimed in his GQ Magazine column that he reckons Spurs duo Dele Alli and Toby Alderweireld could leave north London – but expects Harry Kane to stay.

Kane, 24, has shown just how influential he can be once again this season with 33 goals in 34 games, his last coming against Juventus to start Spurs comeback during the 2-2 draw.

Jenas expects Kane to be offered a new deal by chairman Daniel Levy, but reckons Alli and Alderweireld could leave. Playmaker Alli has not enjoyed a season as good as the 2016-17 campaign, while Alderweireld remains on the sidelines.

The Belgian defender was left at home for the trip to Turin, and although he is set to feature against Rochdale this weekend, doubts remain over his long-term future with his contract set to expire in 2019. Jenas reckons he could leave.

“I think Daniel Levy will have to break the bank to keep him at the club, but I think Harry will be the one player they do that for, simply because he is worth it,” Jenas said. “And Daniel is very good at rewarding players who are doing well.

“If I was going to guess, I would say Dele Alli might go. I don’t think that is something that Spurs fans will want to hear, because he is a very popular player. In the area he plays in he is replaceable.

“Another player who looks like he might leave is Toby Alderweireld. He is an absolutely incredible player, but he seems like he wants to move on and there will certainly be no shortage of suitors for him.”

The Daily Mirror claimed this week that Real Madrid are leading the chase to sign 28-year-old Alderweireld, with Premier League trio Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea all said to be interested in his services.

Spurs proved they are capable of impressing without the former Southampton man on Tuesday and he could be made expendable, while Alli continues to receive criticism this season for his drop in form and diving.

All three players could feature this weekend as Spurs take on rock-bottom League One side Rochdale in the fifth round of the FA Cup at Spotland, with Pochettino likely to also rest a number of first-team stars.
