Everton won in the Europa League on Thursday.

The former Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United midfielder made the comments following Everton’s 3-0 victory over Limassol away from home in the Europa League Group E on Thursday evening.
Jenas said on BT Sport 2 on Thursday evening (7:55pm, December 7, 2017) during the post-match coverage of the Europa League game between Everton and Limassol when asked how important it is to keep keep clean sheets: “It’s hugely important. I didn’t think they were going to get it tonight, if I am totally honest.”

Everton’s performances and results in the past three games have been very encouraging.
The Toffees won 4-0 against West Ham United at Goodison Park in the Premier League last month and defeated Huddersfield Town 2-0 at home last weekend.

Under manager Sam Allardyce, the Merseyside outfit appear to have become stronger defensively, and that can only be something positive in the long run.
What was very promising about Everton on Thursday evening was that they won and kept a clean sheet despite playing with a number of young and inexperienced players.
The Toffees, though, will find it hard to keep a clean sheet in the Merseyside derby against Liverpool away from home at Anfield this weekend.
