Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Dele Alli has been rightfully rewarded with the PFA young player of the year award for a wonderful Premier League 2016-17 campaign.
The 21-year-old has enjoyed a phenomenal season for Spurs. The England midfielder has scored 16 goals and has provided five assists in the Premier League.
The Tottenham midfielder has won this prestigious award for the second season running.
Former Spurs midfielder and now BBC pundit Jermaine Jenas has congratulated Alli for winning the award and has hailed him as a “different class”. He tweeted:
Tottenham striker Harry Kane, who was nominated for the PFA Player of the Year award, says Alli fully deserves the award.
Alli says that he is honoured to have won the award but at the same time has thanked all his teammates. He tweeted:
Winning the award for the second time in a row shows that Alli is indeed a different class. His outstanding form has helped Tottenham mount a solid Premier League title challenge, with Spurs trailing Chelsea by just four points.
Tottenham will face Crystal Palace in their next Premier League match on Wednesday night.
