Former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Jermaine Jenas believes the current Spurs team are the best in a generation and has hailed what is being built at the club – whilst appearing on BT Sport Score this afternoon.
Tottenham drew 1-1 with West Brom today. A late goal from Dele Alli saved them a point from a game that looked to have been snatched from them by a goal from former player Nacer Chadli.

They came into the game undefeated in the Premier League and maintained that record. Prior to the game Jenas, who spent eight years at White Hart Lane, made his feelings clear about Spurs – suggesting the disappointment of last season can help them become serious title challengers:
“I totally agree (this is the best Spurs team in a generation).
“What you’ll find as well is a team that had a go at the title. They’ve learned a lot from that. A lot of young players came into the squad last season that would not have had much expected of them, they would have learned something from that.

“They’ve developed and already you can see them growing into more responsible players. I think that’s what they are trying to do down at Tottenham.
“They’re trying to create a team capable of not only looking physical and having that pressing game (but) having the mentality to win a title.”
This is certainly the type of game which in the past Spurs would have ended up losing. But they dug deep and in the end worked hard to get one point and maintain their unbeaten record.

Tottenham fans are certainly hopeful that this season they will once again be fighting for the title come the end of the campaign.
Some will believe they can go all the way.
