Tottenham Hotspur are said to be prepared to spend big money on the Ajax midfielder.

Tottenham reportedly have an interest in signing Van De Beek from Ajax in the summer for £45 million, as reported by the Daily Mail.
But Jenas doesn’t think that Van De Beek would be as good an addition to Tottenham’s squad as someone like Frenkie de Jong.
He said: “Van de Beek was a strange one. I think he’s a goalscorer, gets in the right areas.
“But I don’t like at De Jong and van De Beek and say ‘I’d love to have him in my team’. With De Jong, you do.”
Van de Beek scored against Tottenham in the first-leg of their Champions League clash with Ajax.

Spurs managed to get through in the end, but the Dutch side showed the young talent that they had over the two legs.
Tottenham are expected to have money to spend this summer, and Van De Beek could strengthen Mauricio Pochettino’s side in midfield, if he was to arrive.
Pochettino currently only has limited options to pick from in midfield, which makes his achievements at Tottenham this season even more remarkable.
