Jordan Henderson is an important player for Liverpool.
The former Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United midfielder has also stated that the 28-year-old England international can be the scapegoat at Anfield.
Jenas said about Henderson on BBC Radio 5 live: “The only thing that ever worried me about Jordan is, I think, at times technically as a midfielder he is a little bit limited.
“He will play simple balls at times. He has better passes in the locker, but for some reason he holds back, I think, because he can be scapegoat at Anfield I find.”
Polarising figure
Henderson is a divisive figure among the Liverpool fans, with some supporters rating his contribution while others thinking that he has no place in the team.
While the former Sunderland midfielder is not technically as good as some of Liverpool teammates, he works hard, has good positional sense and is a leader in the middle of the park.
The 28-year-old, who has improved well in recent years, is not guaranteed a place in Jurgen Klopp’s starting lineup, but the Englishman has contributed to the team and remains an important player, both on the pitch and off it.
