Tottenham hammered Watford 4-0 at White Hart Lane on Saturday afternoon.
Tottenham’s Son Heung-min celebrates scoring their third goal against Watford
Pundit Jermaine Jenas told Match of the Day (08/04/2017) that he feels Tottenham Hotspur ace Son Heung-min has gone from strength to strength this season.
Spurs went into Saturday’s game with Watford on a high having beaten Burnley and Swansea City on the road in the previous seven days, and they continued their stunning form against the Hornets.
Dele Alli’s long-range curler put Tottenham in front, before Eric Dier smashed home from the edge of the box after Watford failed to deal with Son Heung-min’s ball into the box.
Son then got himself on the scoresheet with a rasping left-footed drive from outside the box, and the South Korean international then got his second and Tottenham’s fourth with a smart finish from Kieran Trippier’s cross.
Many Tottenham players impressed, but the day belonged to winger Son, who made it seven goals and two assists in his last five appearances for Spurs since Harry Kane’s ankle injury against Millwall in March.
After four goals one assist in the Premier League last season, Son has racked up 11 goals in the Premier League this term whilst setting up four more in an impressive if unheralded campaign.

Often an impact sub who has been handed a chance to impress in Kane’s absence, Son is thriving with first-team football under Mauricio Pochettino, and his performance against Watford was praised after the final whistle by ex-Spurs ace Jermaine Jenas.
Pundit Jenas told Match of the Day that he feels Son has gone from strength to strength this season, and thinks fans enjoyed his superb performance against Watford – despite him missing out on a hat-trick.
“He really does [continue to impress], he’s gone from strength to strength for me this season,” said Jenas. “I think he’s kicked on from last season. He scored four goals last season, this year he’s got 11 goals, and he’s having a massive impact – especially in the moments where Harry Kane hasn’t been in the side.”
“He’s one of the players that have stood up and made things happen for Tottenham. The fans thoroughly enjoyed his performance, and I’m sure the manager brought him off just to rest him for the next game,” he added.
