Leeds United crashed out of the FA Cup on Sunday afternoon, as they were thumped 3-0 away at Crawley Town.

The Whites were expected to coast past the League Two side, but came unstuck in a dismal second-half showing.

Nick Tsaroulla, Ashley Nadesan and Jordan Tunnicliffe all found the net to give Crawley an easy win, leaving Leeds embarrassed.

There really wasn’t much to shout about for Leeds fans, with many players turning in disappointing displays against lowly opposition.

One of the few to make a positive impact was winger Ian Carlo Poveda, who looked bright and sharp before surprisingly being hooked at half time.

Poveda produced one sensational piece of skill, beating one Crawley defender with a flip-flap that left fans and pundits awe-struck.

Former Leeds striker Jermaine Beckford called the moment ‘absolutely beautiful’ on BBC Sport, branding Poveda ‘very, very exciting’.

Beckford noted that the final ball has been an issue for Poveda, but he felt that he was ‘sharp’ and ‘very positive’ against Crawley, though the winger will have been disappointed to be substituted in the second haf.

“Absolutely beautiful,” said Beckford. “Poveda is very, very exciting, he’s a young talent, his end ball is what lets him down usually, today he’s been very good, very positive, on the front foot constantly, and he’s sharp as well,” he added.
