Jermain Defoe has made it clear that he is unfazed by wild speculations on his future, and that he is currently focused on international duties.
England will face Scotland and France in their upcoming games, and Defoe is relishing the opportunity to play a part in those games.
According to reports from Sky Sports, Defoe is set to join Bournemouth on a free transfer this summer. The former Tottenham Hotspur striker is reported to have agreed a three-year deal at Dean Court, worth £65,000-a-week.
The 34-year-old spent a successful loan spell at Bournemouth in the 2000/01 season, where he scored in 10 consecutive games to record 18 league goals from 29 appearances.

However, Defoe has revealed in an interview that he has ‘kept his head down’ amid speculations on his future, and that he hasn’t made any decision yet.
“At the minute, to be honest, there has been loads of speculation about me going to this club, that club and a lot of stuff about Bournemouth,” Defoe told Sky Sports.
“I’ve just kept my head down because I want to try and focus on England and the two England games coming up, whether I play or not, just to be around the team and trying to enjoy it.
“Like I tweeted the other day, there’s no better feeling than to put that England shirt on so I suppose I just want to get my head down, get England out the way and sit down with my family and decide what I really want to do.
“We’ll see what happens.”

Is there still a hope for West Ham United?
Sky Sports reported last month that West Ham remain interested in signing the striker, and look set to make a new move to land him this summer.
Defoe made his name with West Ham as a youngster, hitting 41 goals in 105 games before moving on to London rivals Tottenham Hotspur.
West Ham need a striker this summer and Defoe would be a great addition to the squad. The Sunderland striker enjoyed a superb 2016/17 Premier League campaign where he scored 15 goals for the Black Cats.
Defoe’s comments suggest that he has not yet agreed a personal deal with the Cherries. West Ham should look to make a move for him before Bournemouth snatch him up.
