Bournemouth loanee Jermain Defoe is now coming into his own at Rangers after a number of good performances.

Jermain Defoe has told Kris Boyd that his Rangers teammates need to understand his movements off the ball as he revealed that he has been speaking to them about it in training.
The Bournemouth loanee, who moved to Ibrox in January, admitted that at first, his teammates wouldn’t do what he preferred when he wanted the ball, but now the relationships are building with them on the pitch.
In recent weeks, or even since Alfredo Morelo’s suspension, Defoe has thrived in the forward role for Steven Gerrard’s side by helping them to four wins on the bounce.
Speaking to SPFL Matters (03/05/2019), Defoe spoke about adjusting to his new surroundings and others understanding what he likes.
Kris Boyd asked “How important is it, you’ve got that movement. How important is it that your teammates see that movement”…
“I speak with the boys in training,” Defoe told SPFL Matters. “Glenn Kamara, Scotty [Arfield], Davo [Steven Davis].
“When I first came, there were times where I would run off and the boys would play it in behind when I would want the ball at feet. Me being here, I have spoken to the lads and say ‘this is what I am going to do…’.
“I just think it’s getting relationships. And, to be honest, when you feel fit and sharp, there is no better feeling. You know that you’re on it, especially on this pitch [Ibrox]. This pitch is massive.”

There is no doubt that Defoe has the ability to be a real threat in the Scottish Premiership and given time he could fire Rangers to the title.
Gerrard will be planning to do just that next season after missing out on the Premiership crown to Celtic, who beat Aberdeen 3-0 on Saturday to clinch eight-in-a-row.
On Sunday, the Light Blues will be in action at home to high-flying Hibernian before hosting their Old Firm rivals next Sunday at Ibrox.
