The Dutch international has been in good form out on loan at the Turkish side.
Jeremain Lens scores the second goal for Sunderland
Last summer Sunderland decided to send Jeremain Lens to Fenerbahce on loan for the season. The Dutchman, who the Guardian claim cost the Black Cats a fee in the region of £13 million from Dynamo Kiev, was reunited with his former Sunderland and PSV Eindhoven boss Dick Advocaat in Istanbul and reduced the wage bill at the Stadium of Light.
Since then he has become a hit in Turkey and is also not welcome back at Sunderland. This comes after Sunderland boss David Moyes labelled him a disgrace after the Dutchman appeared to wish for Sunderland’s relegation in January.
So, Sunderland clearly don’t have a place for Lens at present and the player is in no doubt about his desires – he wants to play for Fenerbahce.
Sporx in Turkey is reporting that the Dutch forward has informed Sunderland of his wish to join the Turkish side and that he has no desire to go elsewhere – informing the Black Cats to discard interest from elsewhere.

Sunderland, who are in danger of relegation, will undoubtedly be hoping to cash in on Lens this summer as they look to ease their financial burdens.
Selling the player to Fenerbahce is not likely to have many stumbling blocks from the Wearside end.
