Jermaine Jenas said on The Friday Football Social show on BBC Radio 5live Sport on Friday evening (7pm, October 13, 2017) that he would be shocked if Fernando Llorente starts for Tottenham Hotspur against Bournemouth on Saturday afternoon.

Tottenham will take on Bournemouth at home in the Premier League in a few hours’ time.

Spurs will head into the match at the Wembley Stadium in London with confidence and should be able to pick up all three points.

Harry Kane of England speaks to the media during a England Press Confrence at the Tottenham Hotspur training ground on October 4, 2017 in Enfield, England.

Although Mauricio Pochettino’s side’s performances and results at Wembley have not been great, they have a much better team than the Cherries do.

Spurs will take on Spanish and European giants Real Madrid away from home at the Santiago Bernabeu in Champions League Group H next Tuesday evening.

Former Tottenham midfielder Jenas does not think that Pochettino will include Fernando Llorente in the starting lineup and rest Harry Kane against Bournemouth despite the game against Madrid next week.

Kane is the first-choice striker at Spurs, while Llorente was signed from Swansea City in the summer transfer window as a back-up.

“I doubt he is going to go into this game thinking, ‘Well, I need to rest Harry Kane and play Llorente’,” said Jenas on The Friday Football Social show on BBC Radio 5live Sport on Friday evening (7pm, October 13, 2017). “I would be shocked because Harry pretty much won’t allow that. He has got his own records that he is chasing.”
