Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Harry Winks came on as a substitute against Stoke City in the Premier League on Sunday.
Harry Winks is not guaranteed a place in the Tottenham Hotspur starting lineup and is large an impact substitute at the moment, but he seems to have impressed Jermaine Jenas.
Winks featured for Tottenham in the Premier League game against Stoke City at the weekend. The 21-year-old midfielder did not start the match at White Hart Lane on Sunday afternoon, but he came on as a substitute midway through the second half.
Former Spurs midfielder Jenas was following the game for BBC Radio 5 live, and he shared his opinion of Winks when the youngster was coming on in place of defender Jan Vertonghen.
“I really rate Harry Winks,” Jenas said on BBC Radio 5 live. “He plays with such balance and quality. In tight situations, he doesn’t shy away from trying to get onto the ball and I really like that in a midfielder.”
Winks is a very talented and promising young midfielder, and he does appear to be rated highly by Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino.
Although the England Under-21 international has not yet made himself as a regular in the first team, he has got playing time on many occasions.
The 21-year-old midfielder has scored one goal and created five chances in 18 Premier League appearances for Tottenham so far this season.
