Jermaine Jenas has explained to BBC Sport why it has been easier for Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Dele Alli to score goals this season.
Alli has scored 13 goals and created 33 chances in 26 Premier League appearances for Tottenham so far this campaign.
The England international midfielder scored one goal in six Champions League matches and none in two Europa League games for Spurs this season.
During the 2015-16 campaign, the 20-year-old scored 10 goals and created 55 chances in 33 Premier League games.
The youngster failed to score a single goal in nine Europa League matches for the North London outfit last season.
Former Tottenham midfielder Jenas has explained why Alli is scoring more goals this term that he did last season.
“I think it has been easier for him to score goals in 2016-17 than it was last season because, even though the opposition teams are watching him more, he is getting into better goalscoring positions because he is already higher up the pitch,” Jenas told BBC Sport about Alli.
Tottenham are second in the Premier League table at the moment with 56 points from 27 matches.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side will return to action on Sunday afternoon when they take on Millwall at White Hart Lane in the sixth round of the FA Cup.
Spurs will then face Southampton at White Hart Lane in the Premier League.
