After reports that LeBron James’ 24th and potentially final season in the NBA will be filmed for a documentary, Jeff Teague thinks his free agency decision is obvious.

James is currently the most in-demand free agent in the NBA, with his agent Rich Paul confirming 10 teams have already reached out with interest in signing the 41-year-old.

Despite the free agency saga, former All-Star Teague believes James’ decision will be straightforward.

Jeff Teague thinks a homecoming to Cleveland makes perfect sense for LeBron James

On the Club 502 Podcast, Teague said that if James is doing a documentary for next season, it only makes sense for him to return to the Cleveland Cavaliers.

“He’s going to be in Cleveland. They doing documentary. It don’t even make sense to be anywhere else…. Listen Bron making his decision. Come on bro, he did it already. He is not documenting the Wizards. It’s going to be perfect with him in Cleveland. You couldn’t write this s— no better, bro.”

The Wizards aren’t in the 10-team list Paul shared the morning after Teague’s comments, so he doesn’t need to worry about that.

The Cavaliers do feature in James’ shortlist as one of the five primary destinations he’s interested in, so Teague’s theory might be closer to coming true.

Which of the interested LeBron James teams would lead to a compelling documentary season?

The 10 teams in the James pursuit are the Heat, 76ers, Timberwolves, Cavaliers, Nuggets, Celtics, Mavericks, Knicks, Spurs, and Warriors.

The obvious documentary destinations are Cleveland, Golden State, Miami, and New York.

The Cavs and Heat last became champions with James leading them, while Golden State has James’ storied career rival, Steph Curry. The Knicks are in New York and arguably the most popular team in the world right now.

The Celtics might also qualify, but for all the wrong reasons, given how public James’ hatred for the franchise was during his prime years in the East.

The 76ers, Timberwolves, Spurs, and Nuggets would be interesting win-now destinations with big star names, but they don’t have the same storybook narrative the other teams have.
