Millwall star Jed Wallace has told Leeds Live what Leeds United goalkeeper Kiko Casilla said to him before taking the penalty.

The home team earned a penalty in the 14th minute of the Championship encounter at The Den on Saturday afternoon when Gaetano Berardi was adjudged to have brought Tom Bradshaw down inside the Leeds penalty box.

Wallace successfully converted the spot kick, and the 25-year-old – who can operate as a winger or as an attacking midfielder – has shared what Leeds goalkeeper Casilla said to him before he took the penalty.

Wallace told Leeds Live: “They had a few minds games. The ‘keeper was trying to delay it and ask me what I liked to drink in the afternoons and how I was and what I’m up to tonight, but I just ignored him and put it in and then ran off.”

Disappointing result for Leeds United

Leeds played well in the second half, and they will probably consider themselves unlucky not to have picked up at least a point, especially as they played most of the game with just 10 men.

However, it cannot be denied that it was a very disappointing result for the Whites, who were expected to bag all three points at The Den.

The result means that Leeds are fifth in the Championship table at the moment with 20 points from 11 matches, just two points behind leaders West Bromwich Albion.
