Everton defensive midfielder Jean-Philippe Gbamin has taken to Instagram to send a message to the fans.

Gbamin was impressed with the support that the Everton fans gave to the team during the Premier League game against Watford at the weekend.

The Toffees got the better of the Hornets 1-0 at Goodison Park in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

Gbamin started the match and played for the entire 90 minutes, and the Ivory Coast international defensive midfielder has praised the team for the win and the fans for their support.

Gbamin joined Everton from Mainz in the summer transfer window for a fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £25 million.

Against Watford at the weekend, the 23-year-old Ivory Coast international defensive midfielder had a pass accuracy of 66.7%, won two headers, and made three tackles, one interceptions and three clearances, according to WhoScored.

Everton manager Marco Silva recently told The Liverpool Echo that the youngster needs to adapt to the Premier League and has to think faster.
