Jean Michel Seri may be regretting not picking West Ham United this summer, after his poor start at Fulham.

Sky Sports reported how West Ham wanted Seri for £35 million, but the Ivorian midfielder decided against a move to the London Stadium.

Seri ended up choosing Fulham, but his move has not worked out as expected so far.

Seri has had a minimal impact at Craven Cottage, with Fulham badly struggling for form.

The 27-year-old was dropped for Fulham’s most recent match against Liverpool, with Slavisa Jokanovic wanting more steel in midfield.

Nice's Ivorian midfielder Jean Michael Seri kicks the ball during the French L1 football match Nice vs Angers on May 14, 2017, at the Allianz Riviera stadium in Nice, southeastern France.

And it could be that he would have been more suited to West Ham.

The Hammers have more protection in their midfield ranks than Fulham, but they lack creativity.

When Pedro Obiang, Mark Noble and Declan Rice line up together for Manuel Pellegrini’s side, West Ham are solid but sometimes are short of incision.

Seri’s passing range could have offered them that, and he may be thinking that a move to the London Stadium would have been best after all.
