Tottenham Hotspur continue to target Lyon midfielder Tanguy Ndombele.

Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas has been quoted by the London Evening Standard as saying that he hasn’t been suitably impressed with any bids for Tanguy Ndombele.
Ndombele, 22, has starred in the heart of the Lyon midfield since arriving from Amiens in 2017, and it’s no great surprise he’s attracting major interest.
Now a French international, Ndombele is a top target for Tottenham, but Sky Sports claim they’ll have to pay £63million to lure him to North London as talks continue about a deal.
Whether Spurs can get to that kind of valuation remains to be seen, but there’s little doubting that he would be the ideal replacement for Mousa Dembele in the Spurs midfield.
Tottenham fans are desperate to see Ndombele arrive, and they’ll now be interested to hear what Lyon president Aulas has said about Ndombele’s future.
Aulas is known as a tough negotiator, and Spurs found that in 2012 when they signed Hugo Lloris in a lengthy chase, and fans will hope for a similar outcome this time.

Aulas has now suggested that no offers for Ndombele have met his expectations, seemingly including Tottenham’s attempts in that bracket.
“Nothing has been decided for Tanguy Ndombele,” said Aulas. “We have had a lot of offers but none of them meet my expectations,” he added.
With Lyon unimpressed with Tottenham’s attempts so far, the ball is now in Daniel Levy’s court as he looks to finance a deal, and he’ll have to come up with a better deal if he’s to sign Mauricio Pochettino’s top target.
