Tottenham Hotspur continue to pursue Lyon ace Tanguy Ndombele.

Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas has been quoted by Football.London as saying that midfielder Tanguy Ndombele is ‘seeking a departure’.
Ndombele has starred for Lyon since signing from Amiens in 2017, initially joining on loan before making his move permanent last summer.
The French international has emerged as one of the finest box-to-box midfielders in Europe, and he’s unsurprisingly attracting major interest.
Tottenham have been the main suitors for Ndombele, with Mauricio Pochettino eyeing him up as a potential replacement for Mousa Dembele, who left the club in January.
Ndombele would be a club-record signing for Tottenham, and Le10 Sport report that he’s now deciding between a move to Spurs or Juventus.
Now, Lyon chief Aulas has confirmed that Ndombele has decided he wants to leave the club, stating that the door may be open for him to leave though no deal is done yet.

Aulas added that Lyon already have targets in mind to replace Ndombele, and the news that he’s now vocal with Lyon about his desire to leave is a major, major boost to Tottenham in their pursuit of the midfielder.
“He is seeking a departure. Nothing is done but the door may be open,” said Aulas. “Tanguy Ndombele is wanted by the biggest clubs. Nothing is done. If he were to leave, we targeted a number of players. Thiago Mendes is one of them,” he added.
