Everton seemingly won’t be signing Lyon’s Bertrand Traore after all.

Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas has been quoted by Get French Football News as saying that the door is closed on a potential departure for winger Bertrand Traore.
Traore, 23, may be remembered by some from his time at Chelsea, but he’s been making a name for himself in France having joined Lyon in 2017.
The Burkina Faso international hit 11 goals and five assists last season, having racked up 18 goals and seven assists in his first season.
That production means Traore is a wanted man, with Everton strongly linked with a move to sign the speedy right winger this summer.
L’Equipe recently reported that Lyon had been in talks with the Toffees about a deal to sell Traore, but news of a move has gone quiet in recent weeks.
Everton remain in the hunt for a left-footed right winger, and whilst Traore may be one option, the likes of Cengiz Under and David Neres have also been mentioned.

Now, Lyon president Aulas has seemingly ruled out a move, being quoted as saying that the door is absolutely closed on Traore leaving, meaning Everton may need to look elsewhere in their pursuit of a wide man.
“There as well, we had a long discussion on him with Juninho and Sylvinho, the door seems absolutely closed in terms of a departure,” said Aulas.
