The latest transfer news surrounding West Ham as the January transfer window approaches.

West Ham United are in a difficult situation at present, with the club currently in 19th place in the Premier League and yet to win under new manager David Moyes.

Moyes will surely be heavily active in the January transfer window as he looks to bolster West Ham’s squad and help them to preserve their Premier League status.

West Ham are on the lookout for a new striker and could bring in Liverpool’s Danny Ings on loan in January, according to The Sun.

Ings has endured much misfortune with injuries in recent seasons, but has been building his fitness back up by playing for Liverpool’s U23 side and could be sent out on temporary transfer in January.

In addition, West Ham will be aiming to add some resilience to their midfield, with Steven N’Zonzi of Sevilla one of their main targets in that regard, as reported by The Gambling Times.

Signing N’Zonzi would certainly be a significant coup for West Ham and the Frenchman could leave Sevilla after falling out with coach Eduardo Berizzo.

West Ham are also said to be targeting Jonny Evans amidst speculation that the defender could leave West Bromwich Albion in January, as reported by the Mirror.

Evans is also thought to be the subject of interest from Everton and Manchester City.

One player who could leave West Ham this month is Andre Ayew, with Swansea City considering re-signing the attacker, as reported by Goal. Ayew has scored twice in 13 Premier League appearances this season.

Krasnodar striker Fedor Smolov, who has been heavily linked with West Ham in the past, has ruled out joining the club.

Smolov stated that he doesn’t approve of West Ham’s playing style, as reported by Transfer Market Web.
