The winger scored a late equaliser with a penalty against Motherwell.
Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers has claimed that Scott Sinclair is better at taking penalties under pressure than any other player in world football.
Sinclair scored from the spot in the 88th minute last night to give Celtic a 1-1 draw away to Motherwell and extend their domestic unbeaten run to 66 games.
Rodgers recalled how Sinclair scored two penalties against Reading in the 2011 Championship play-off final when the pair worked together at Swansea City.
As reported by the Belfast Telegraph, Rodgers said: “There’s nobody better in that situation.”
“Scott scored two penalties for me at Wembley in front of over 90,000. I’ll always fancy him to score.”
Celtic remain top of the Scottish Premiership and, following last night’s action, are four points clear of their closest challengers Aberdeen with a game in hand.
Sinclair has produced some outstanding performances for Celtic this season and has scored 12 goals in 26 games across all competitions, while he has also provided nine assists.
Celtic host Motherwell on Saturday as they face the same opponents for the third game in a row and Sinclair will be determined to make a major impact again as Rodgers’ side look to take all three points on this occasion.
Following that game Celtic conclude their Champions League campaign with a home game against Anderlecht.
