Having been isolated at Newcastle, Colback needs to play regularly to get his career back on track and Sunderland would certainly be able to help him in that regard.
If such a deal did happen then it may take some time for Colback to regain the backing of the Sunderland supporters, but his return would be hugely beneficial for the club.
