The experienced centre-back produced some excellent performances for Aston Villa before getting injured.

Former Aston Villa goalkeeper Shay Given believes that John Terry is one of the main reasons why the club are challenging for promotion to the Premier League.
Terry joined Villa in the summer after bringing his long association with Chelsea to an end and the centre-back was a regular in the starting line-up for Steve Bruce’s side before breaking a bone in his foot last month.
Given told Bet Stars: “I think it was a great move for John and a great move for Aston Villa, we know how strong a defender he’s been over the years but you can see his fitness levels, how fit he is even now.”
“I think he’s one of the reasons they’re up there challenging to get back in the Premier League again, he’s a real leader of men and great to have in the changing room.”

Terry is still recovering from injury but his leadership skills and experience have certainly been of great use to Villa this season.
Last season Villa endured a difficult time following their relegation to the Championship as they ended up finishing in 13th place in the second tier.

However, this campaign they have performed significantly better and are currently in fifth place having taken 36 points from their 20 league games so far.
Villa will hope that Terry won’t be out for too long through injury, with the 37-year-old capable of marshalling his side’s defence expertly.
Next up for Villa is a home game against Millwall on Saturday, with their opponents having recently returned to winning ways following a difficult run of form.
