Celtic winger Scott Sinclair has been in prolific form this season.
Ross County manager Owen Coyle has praised Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers for bringing the best out of Scott Sinclair.
Despite being very highly rated when he was a youngster, Sinclair has had a rather nomadic career, with Celtic the 13th club that he has played for (when loan spells are taken into consideration).
Rodgers signed Sinclair from Aston Villa in 2016. Last season the winger scored an impressive 25 goals in 50 appearances as Celtic won a domestic treble, while this campaign he has found the net 11 times in 23 games across all competitions.
Coyle’s Ross County host Celtic Saturday, and the 51-year-old was eager to praise Rodgers for giving Sinclair the belief and trust required for him to perform so effectively.
As reported by The Herald, Coyle said: “He’s made one or two wonderful signings. Financially it would have cost him money, but to get the likes of Scott Sinclair to the club – he’s a wonderful player and a match-winner, even at the top level of the game.
“He showed that as a kid coming through. All the way through in England he was a wonderful talent and he’s shining again now because he knows he’s got a manager that believes in him and trusts in him”.
There have been suggestions that should Sinclair continue his excellent form then he could even earn a place in the England squad for next summer’s World Cup.
Coyle will hope, though, that Sinclair won’t be able to have a major impact in tomorrow’s game.
Celtic remain top of the Scottish Premiership, having won nine and drawn three of their league games so far, while Ross County are currently in eighth place in the table.
