The young Everton midfielder made an impressive impact while David Unsworth was caretaker manager.

Although David Unsworth’s temporary spell in charge of Everton ended on a high with a 4-0 victory over West Ham United, it was a rather tumultuous period for the club overall.
However, one positive to emerge from the situation was the emergence of Beni Baningime, with the young midfielder featuring for the first-team on six occasions under Unsworth’s guidance.
Despite still being rather raw, Baningime is an exciting prospect, with the 19-year-old a fine passer of the ball and also an impressive dribbler.

Now, with Sam Allardyce at the helm, it will be intriguing to see whether Baningime remains part of the first-team set-up at Everton, or instead returns to the U23s.
Allardyce’s main priority will certainly be to save Everton from relegation and it is understandable if he looks primarily to senior players to attempt to fulfil that objective.

However, Baningime’s enthusiasm and the impact that he has made in his first-team appearances so far suggests that the prospect should continue to be involved with the squad under Allardyce’s guidance.
Baningime is still some way from being ready to start regularly for Everton, but he can be a useful option to come off the bench or to be involved from the outset when rotation is needed.
