Paul George finds himself on a new team for yet another time in his career, and it has only added to his history with the team.
George is going to don the iconic green and white of the Boston Celtics this season, having been sent to the team as part of the package for Jaylen Brown.
Now 36 years old and making about $53 million a year, George is certainly not the player he once was. But his trade value throughout his career makes him the most expensive player in the history of the league.

Paul George’s entire trade haul is the most expensive ever
Paul George played for the Indiana Pacers for the first seven years of his career. After multiple All-Star nominations and conference finals trips, the Pacers eventually decided to move on.
Thus came the first trade of his career, as he was sent to the Oklahoma City Thunder in exchange for Victor Oladipo and Domantas Sabonis.
George would spend two years with the Thunder, where he even finished third in MVP voting in 2019. This season caught the eye of Kawhi Leonard, who convinced George to join him on the LA Clippers.
The Clippers knew they had to get George to secure Leonard’s signature, and as such, gave up a treasure trove to land him.
The Clippers sent the Thunder Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (who went on to win two MVPs), Danilo Gallinari, and five first-round picks and two first-round pick swaps.
How Jaylen Brown trade made Paul George the most valuable player in NBA history
A disappointing tenure with the LA Clippers ended with George leaving as a free agent for the first time in his career, signing a four-year, $212 million contract with the Philadelphia 76ers.
And now, after he was sent to the Boston Celtics in exchange for Jaylen Brown, this makes it the fourth All-Star and second Finals MVP to be traded for George.
On top of that, the 76ers also gave up two draft picks to help convince the Celtics to absorb George’s remaining contract.
In total, Paul has been traded for a total of five players, seven first-round picks, and four pick swaps across his career.
