Jaylen Brown added another layer to Donald Trump’s headline-heavy Madison Square Garden appearance after the president was shown during Knicks vs Spurs Game 3.

Trump attended the NBA Finals matchup in New York on Monday, June 8, as the Knicks tried to protect their series lead against San Antonio.

The game itself was dramatic enough, but clips from inside MSG and online reaction around Trump quickly became a separate talking point.

Jaylen Brown Donald Trump sleeping joke follows viral MSG moment

LockedUpJB shared Brown’s reaction after Trump’s Game 3 appearance became part of the wider NBA Finals conversation.

“I saw Donald Trump was there. He fell asleep, not surprised by that.”

The comment followed social media posts such as Call to Activism circulating footage that appeared to show Trump with his eyes closed during the game.

That moment traveled quickly because Trump’s attendance already brought extra attention, security and crowd reaction to the Garden.

Knicks vs Spurs Game 3 shifted NBA Finals momentum

San Antonio beat New York 115-111, cutting the Knicks’ series lead to 2-1.

Victor Wembanyama led the Spurs with 32 points, eight rebounds, six assists and three blocks, while Stephon Castle added 23 points.

For the Knicks, Jalen Brunson scored 32 and OG Anunoby had 28, but New York could not close out a game that carried huge atmosphere around MSG’s first NBA Finals home date in 27 years.

Game 4 is scheduled for Wednesday, June 10, at 8:30 p.m. ET, again at Madison Square Garden. The Knicks still lead 2-1, but San Antonio’s win made the series much tighter.
