Jaylen Brown playfully put Donovan Mitchell on the spot about a missing wedding invitation during NBA All-Star Weekend.

The humorous exchange played out on camera as Donovan Mitchell prepares to marry singer Coco Jones.

With the couple engaged since July 2025, Jaylen Brown made it known he was expecting an invite to the couple’s big day.

Jaylen Brown calls out Donovan Mitchell over wedding invite

The interaction quickly became a spirited back-and-forth between the two NBA stars captured by Boston Celtics cameras.

Mitchell, who proposed to Coco Jones on vacation last summer, found himself fielding questions about the guest list.

Jaylen Brown: “Where is my invite? Where is my invite?”

Donovan Mitchell: “I’m so glad you brought this up in front of the camera. We’ve been waiting on your a– to respond.”

Jaylen Brown: “No, we have not.”

Donovan Mitchell: “You and Jalen Brunson didn’t respond to the message.”

Jaylen Brown: “We’re waiting on y’all. Come on. Where’s my invite to the wedding? I didn’t get a message.”

Donovan Mitchell: “Yes, you did. I saw it with my own eyes. My assistant showed me the message. ‘Hey, Jaylen, this is such and such.’”

Jaylen Brown: “Oh, it came from —”

Jaylen Brown: “Yes, from somebody’s unknown number. Oh, I didn’t know. Give me the number.”

Donovan Mitchell: “Yes, you did. We talked about it in Cleveland. I’m glad this is on camera.”

Donovan Mitchell and Coco Jones move forward with wedding plans

Donovan Mitchell and Coco Jones announced their engagement in July 2025 after dating for two years, sharing proposal footage from their vacation.

The pair first connected at a networking event for creatives, where phones were not permitted, and have indicated they intend to keep much of their wedding private.

If the All-Star Weekend moment is any indication, Brown expects to see his name included when the invitations go out.

While Brown will be there to support Mitchell at his weddings, the two will likely face off as rivals if the Cavaliers and Celtics are paired together in the playoffs.
