Former Liverpool star asks why the Reds didn’t score another.

Liverpool are on a high after their big Champions League win over Manchester City in the Champions League quarter-finals.
The Reds won 3-0 against City in a one sided Anfield victory which will rank up there as one of the most memorable results of the season.
Liverpool have had several memorable European nights, but it’s been a while since they were in the Champions League knockout stages.

Former Reds midfielder Jay Spearing can recall one of their great memories, a 4-0 victory over Real Madrid under Rafa Benitez in 2009.
He joked after the three nil victory that this Liverpool side were not as good, as they failed to net a fourth goal.
The response to Spearing’s tweet was priceless.
A supporter questioned if Spearing had ever played in such a big tie for Liverpool – only for another fan to quickly point out he had just posted a photo of himself starring in the 4-0 Real victory.
Spearing, 29, is currently starring for Blackpool, with his career peaking during his breakout years for Liverpool.
