Jay-Roy Grot only left Leeds United on a permanent basis five months ago.

In February, he joined German 2. Bundesliga outfit VfL Osnabruck having scored just a solitary goal for the Whites.

Now, he’s on the move again, and has joined newly-promoted Danish Superliga club Viborg FF.

He has signed a two-year deal with the club and told their website on joining:

“I’m really happy, and it’s a good chance for me to switch to Viborg in the Danish Superliga.

“I’m sure I’m coming to a good place in relation to my development, and I know both Justin Lonwijk and Lars Kramer, and they have both talked very well about Viborg.

“I’m really looking forward to it and the fans can always expect to see me work hard for the team.

“It is exciting for me, and it is also for the club, which is back in the Super League, and hopefully we can do really well together in the coming season.”

He also posted on Instagram to celebrate the news, which comes after he made just four league appearances for his old club.

Leeds have gone from strength to strength under Marcelo Bielsa, and there was no place for Grot in that.

But plenty of Leeds fans will likely wish him well and might keep one eye on his progress.
