Grot is another one of Victor Orta’s signings to leave Leeds a year after joining the club.

Jay Roy-Grot has posted on Instagram after it was confirmed that he would be joining Dutch Eredivisie side VVV-Venlo on a season-long loan from Leeds United.
Grot, 20, joined Leeds as one of a number of signings made by director of football Victor Orta from foreign clubs, which also included the likes of Samu Saiz, Ezgjan Alioski and Pierre-Michel Lasogga.

But a number of those signings have failed to show their worth, including £1.5m recruit Grot, who managed to score just one goal in 22 league and cup appearances. Despite an impressive showing in Myanmar, he has joined Venlo.
Grot is the sixth player to leave Elland Road since Marcelo Bielsa began his reign, with Pawel Cibicki joining Molde on loan while Madger Gomes has move to Sochaux, Felix Wiedwald to Frankurt, and goalkeeper Andy Lonergan has been released. Lewie Coyle has rejoined Fleetwood on loan.
The young powerhouse posted on Instagram after the move was confirmed, thanking Leeds for giving him the opportunity to grow at another club on loan in the form of Venlo.
Grot’s departure is not expected to be the last one, with Bielsa stressing the importance to reduce the bloated size of the squad in his press conference after being confirmed as Leeds boss.
