The teenager impressed when he featured for Leeds United prior to the international break.

The 19-year-old had an impressive debut when he came off the bench against Nottingham Forest last month; his physique, speed and determination to run at opponents marking him out as one to watch. And he has now explained how it felt to pull on a Leeds shirt for the first time.

“I felt like I’d played here for six months already,” Grot told the YEP. “It was really good.”
Initially seen solely as another striking option to compete with the likes of Kemar Roofe and late additions Pierre-Michel Lasogga and Pawel Cibicki, Grot is also capable of excelling on the wing and he has no preference as long as he is getting time on the field.
“It doesn’t matter to me,” he added. “If I play as a striker or if I play on the right wing, I do my best.”

The new Leeds addition’s pace marks him out as an ideal wide option, but given his stature and his ability in front of goal it would be no surprise if he ultimately became an out-and-out striker.
Leeds have started the new campaign in impressive form and they will be hoping to carry that on when they face Burton Albion this weekend.
The international break may not have come at the best time for Grot and his new teammates, but Leeds manager Thomas Christiansen will be hoping that early momentum continues, starting on Saturday.
