But West Brom may not need to spend huge money on a striker no matter who grave their situation at the bottom of the Premier League, with Jay Rodriguez having returned to form in recent weeks.

Deeney and Sturridge have each scored just twice in the Premier League this season, making it somewhat of a risk to rely on either of that pair instead of Rodriguez.
Of course, an injury to Rodriguez could prove disastrous, but West Brom need not spend big money on a striker when they have an able goal scorer already.
Alan Pardew’s men may be better off turning to a cheap backup and giving Rodriguez the opportunity to continue to flourish in a World Cup year.
