Former Cardiff City striker Jay Bothroyd has praised the decision of the club to appoint Neil Warnock as manager.
The club announced the news via their official website, 24 hours after sacking Paul Trollope.
Cardiff have had a disappointing start to the season, currently sitting in the relegation zone in 23rd place out of 24.

The only club below them are Rotherham United, where Neil Warnock managed late last season, helping them avoid the drop.
Former Bluebirds forward Bothroyd commented on Twitter in support of the appointment, and suggested ex-teammate Craig Bellamy could get involved.
It does not appear that Bellamy will be joining the coaching staff, with Warnock deciding to bring with him Kevin Blackwell as assistant manager and Ronnie Jepson as first team coach.
Warnock has a strong record in the Championship, previously getting Sheffield United promoted to the Premier League, although simply avoiding the drop should be his immediate target for the Welsh club.
Cardiff’s next fixture after the international break is at home to Bristol City, followed by another against Sheffield Wednesday.
Bothroyd played for Cardiff between 2008 and 2011, and currently plays for Japanese club Jubilo Iwata.
