The Tottenham Hotspur winger continues to be linked with a move away from the club.

According to a report from Gazetta World, Inter Milan vice-president Javier Zanetti has travelled to America to watch Tottenham Hotspur star Erik Lamela in action for his country with his intention to scope out a potential deal for the Argentine winger.
Lamela is currently playing for his country at the Copa America but his future at club level remains unclear, with rumours persisting that the 24-year-old could leave White Hart Lane this summer.

The wide man took time to settle in England but last season saw a dramatic improvement in form and many Spurs fans would now be disappointed to see him go.
With a contract until the summer of 2018, now would be the time for Tottenham to sell if they still want to get a decent return for a player who cost big money when he first arrived in England three years ago.

However, on the flip side Tottenham’s return to the Champions League and additional pressures next season may mean manager Mauricio Pochettino wants to keep all his first-team stars and simply strengthen in key areas rather than bid farewell to someone who – on his day – can change any game.
The Gazzetta World report claims Zanetti will watch the upcoming Copa America semi-final between Argentina and the USA as he continues to track the Tottenham man ahead of a potential bid.
